another diy obsession

SO...
after a lovely afternoon with the girls at Starbucks, we were en route to LUSH!!!!! (um.. duh) and i stopped in my tracks when I saw this massive sign for a pair of the perfect coloured khaki pants. its more on the green side.. then the brown khaki.

AT LOWES/BIG AND TALL/EDD HARRY - yeah, I have no idea which one of these it was at.. but its one of those discount men retailers.
And get this... they were $9.99 a pair. They had a beige one as well.

GRANTED these pants were your normal slacks... but my brain is wired D.I.Y - thanks to the daily obsession with D.I.Y blogs (some of my favourite.. Outsapop Trashion Recycle Fashion and A Pair and A Spare)

AND WHAT DID I SEE IN PLACE OF A PAIR OF SLACKS?
A pair of cute summer high-waisted shorts.
Lol, no I am not crazy... one could definitely DIY the hell out of those Lowes pants...
