DIY: CUT OFF BOOTS/OXFORDS

So hello, abut two nights ago I was busily studying and reading some case studies for Uni. The way I break from these little study sessions is to hit my Blogroll!
And I came across this post by one of my favourite DIY Blogger A Pair & A Spare.

Then I kept reading and went to read Love Aesthetics blog on her take on the cut off boots.
And I was obsessed. It was scary the way I turned around from my desk and stared at my boots sitting in their box still. I live in Australia and there really is no point in my having a pair of calf length boots. Its just an insane idea. So off I went, with a pair of scissors and my boots in hand at 11:30 ON A THURSDAY NIGHT.

I know I called this the "cut off boots" DIY. But really is more of a "hacked into my perfectly good pair of boots DIY". ;)
There really is no tutorial, just keep cutting until you get your desired length and shape.

AFTER:

I then went ahead and cut those long bits of leather to make them fit around the shoes, for some added detailing.

I HONESTLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO THINK OF THESE... OR IF I WILL EVER WEAR THEM. BUT WHAT THE HELL.. ;)
